Brief & Background
In early 2024, the US state of North Carolina approached Blue Link Worldwide to manage their recent delegation to Manchester, UK.
The event was organised to build on the strong ties between the ‘Tar Heel’ state and the Greater Manchester region, as well as the UK-North Carolina Memorandum of Understanding.
North Carolina has the largest overall manufacturing workforce in the US Southeast region, the second largest engineering workforce in the US Southeast, and an overall GDP roughly equivalent to that of Switzerland. Unique strengths in biologics manufacturing, precision aerospace manufacturing, and automotive component manufacturing contribute to North Carolina’s status as a diversified manufacturing powerhouse.
